Mike Bingaman and Stephanie Small win the best christmas card award, sorry Chris Burnham. There’s just no arguing with this, it’s perfect, animated and all. Nicely done, friends, nicely done.

Shannon Benine hand crafted these two little guys from a pattern I put together for her. I’m sure her nephews are enjoying their new friends…

Antoine et Manuel recently released ANTOINE+MANUEL Compilation Vol. 1, which I can only assume is full of more fresh and amazing images, ideas, and skillful craft that makes this duo so fantastic. See some of there new work here. Buy the new book here.

Among the many holiday cards and e-cards that we’ve received so far this year, Chris Burnham, of The House Theatre, takes the cake, (so far), with this gem sent to us over the weekend. You can see his porfolio here. You can also see his work in person by purchasing some recent issues of X-Men. Burnham receives the award for least time spent on a holiday card…obviously.
See if you can top his skillz. Send us your best attempt…
seriously.

I moved to Chicago about 10 years ago from Rio, and every January I ask myself if I should go back to Brazil. This year this question came a little earlier… At least after today the days will start getting longer.
Happy winter solstice.
A friend of mine sent me this sweet link today: a gingerbread version of the Farnsworth House — Mies van der Rohe’s modern masterpiece in Plano, Ill. The house costs $4,320, with 15 percent of the proceeds going to help repair the real Farnsworth House, which was damaged in a September flood.
I got married in the Farnsworth house and have very special memories of the place. Not sure if I could bite a piece out of it.
